7.14 Allowed-value sets

Messages defined in the CDM standard make intensive use of allowed-value sets. These allowed-value sets are shared between all DDEX standards. The allowed-value sets, the allowed values and their definitions are contained in the DDEX data dictionary available from https://kb.ddex.net/reference-material/current-allowed-value-sets/ .

The CDM messages defined in the CDM standard contain a mandatory AvsVersionId Cell in the header Record identifying the version number of the allowed-value sets used in the creation of the CDM messages. The AvsVersionId value at publication is 9.

DDEX may update the list of allowed-value sets over time and this may therefore require the AvsVersionIdnumber to be increased. When this happens, the new current AvsVersionId will be publicised on the DDEX knowledge base. Any such updated version of the allowed-value sets which is issued on a date after the publication date of the CDM standard forms part of the CDM standard.
