2 Organisation of the Standard

This part of the CDM standard comprises eight clauses and one Annex. Clauses 1-3 provide a general introduction and the scope of this part of the CDM standard. Clause 4 provides the core terms, with definitions, and the abbreviations that are used in the CDM standard. Clause 5 then defines the choreography for the communication of the various CDM messages following the receipt of a DSR Message. Clause 6 provides information about the relationship between CDM Statements defined in the CDM standard and DSR Messages defined in the DSR standard. Clause 7 describes the technical details for creating CDM messages constructed in accordance with the CDM standard. Clause 8 describes the mechanisms by which CDM messages may be exchanged between licensees and licensors. Finally, the Annex provides release notes about the variations between this version and a previous version of this part of the CDM standard.
